Bodega Balear
A family tapas bar with a home cooking focus.
View in the app · free, no sign-upOn Carretera d'Artà, between the old town and the port, looking out at traffic rather than the sea, this neighbourhood bodega lives off the morning: it opens early and shuts in the early afternoon. It's a counter bar with the owners behind it and a pavement terrace, used by people who work nearby and by holidaymakers who find it one day and come back for the rest of the week. What sets it apart is the pot cooking done on site: potato tortilla, eaten on a plate or in a sandwich of soft bread, meatballs and tripe, and above all the variat, the Mallorcan plate of several tapas at once, which comes hearty here. A small bite often arrives with your beer. It's for breakfast before the beach or a mid-morning snack the island way; if you're after views or a long lunch, carry on to the port.
