Es Racó de Ronda
Pa amb oli on a terrace beside the walls.
View in the app · free, no sign-upStep a few streets out of the centre and follow the walls along Camí de Ronda and you reach this terrace right up against Alcúdia's medieval walls, which are floodlit at night. It's been open for a dozen years and the owners describe it as traditional home cooking with music to remember. Its charm is that it runs at two speeds: for a beer and tapas there are tables made from wine barrels with high stools; for dinner, proper chairs at tables you book. The kitchen is about carefully made tapas rather than main courses, and Iberian produce leads: the ham and cheese board, oxtail croquetas, red prawns. The beer is Mallorcan craft, including an IPA from Alcúdia, and one night a week there's pintxos with vermouth and cider. It's for a quiet dinner outdoors looking at the walls, away from the tourist restaurants of the centre; when it's full, the kitchen goes at its own pace.
