Es Colomer Viewpoint

The first big lookout on the Formentor road, around km 4–5 of the Ma-2210: from the car park a path with lots of shallow steps leads to several walled, railed terraces hanging over cliffs hundreds of metres high. Below sits the long rocky islet of Es Colomer; on the way back you look over Port de Pollença and, on a clear day, Cala Bóquer. Engineer Antonio Parietti laid it out and has a needle-shaped monument here; the terraces were renovated in 2015. Early morning is quieter, with clean light on the coast.
