Bodegas Can Vidalet

An organic winery between Pollença and Alcúdia, at the foot of the Tramuntana, making wine since 1996 on ten plots of limestone soil full of fossils (they show you on the tour). Joan Darder is the manager and winemaker; grapes are hand-picked and vinified in small tanks, French oak barrels and clay amphorae, with Manto Negro, Malvasia, Prensal and Giró Ros. There's an in-house distillery too: Onze gin, made with eleven botanicals, and Marc de Moscatel. Tastings come with Mallorcan tapas on a terrace with bougainvillea and the mountains in front.
