Rem Taller

A small shop in the centre of Valldemossa run by Marta Mas, from the village, and Carmen Pascual, from Es Capdellà, who met while studying in Barcelona. It's in a former bakery that kept its wood-fired oven, and an old almond grinder hangs on one wall alongside other antique machines. Almost everything they sell is designed and made by people from the island: sandals, dresses, T-shirts, bags, baskets, hats, costume jewellery and prints with Mediterranean motifs. They talk about making things slowly and well, the opposite of fast fashion.
