SĀNTAL
A minimalist specialty coffee shop on Carrer de la Indústria.
View in the app · free, no sign-upSĀNTAL came over from Buenos Aires, where it runs its cafés, and in Palma it moved into one of the four historic windmills on Carrer de la Indústria, on the edge of Santa Catalina. The mill dates from the 17th century and was restored with its Mallorcan stone and vaulted ceilings left bare; the café spreads across those rooms and a large, sunny terrace that earned it a Repsol Guide ‘Solete’ in 2025. The place was built around specialty coffee (espresso, flat white, cold brew and single-origin filter) and pairs it with a brunch served all morning. The dishes that define it are avocado toast with a poached egg, oat pancakes and, on the sweet side, pastries baked every morning: cinnamon rolls, banana bread, a Nutella croissant with strawberries. There are vegan and gluten-free options, and the gluten-free bread holds its own. If you want to try a bit of everything, there’s a breakfast pack with a hot drink, juice, something savoury and something sweet. The team, like the owners, speaks with an Argentine accent. Portions are on the small side for the price; part of what you pay for is the setting. It only opens in the morning and not every day, because the rest of the time the mill is hired out for civil weddings, birthdays and company lunches of up to 130 people.
