Coquetier Classy Cocktails
Palma's best classic cocktails; sophisticated drinks in an intimate setting.
View in the app · free, no sign-upCoquetier is French for egg cup, and the name carries a story: in 19th-century New Orleans the apothecary Peychaud served his mixtures in egg cups, which is often told as the birth of the cocktail. Rafa Martín, who runs the bar, has built the place around that idea: a small, dimly lit room on a narrow street in central Palma, period furniture and classic jazz in the background, no screens and no loud music. The menu starts from the classics and pushes them towards less usual ingredients – foams, truffle versions, sours, a paloma – and the Pornstar Martini is what most people order. If you prefer something simple, a vermouth or a canchánchara (rum, honey and lime) gets the same care. What sets it apart is the bar work: they ask what you like, tone down the sweetness or the heat if you want, and make drinks off the menu, alcohol-free ones included. It’s a bar for talking, as a couple or a small group, rather than a party spot, and it costs noticeably less than Palma’s hotel cocktail bars. There’s a small terrace outside.
