Guindilla Design & Bar
Mallorcan wines and champagne on a quiet old-town square
View in the app · free, no sign-upGuindilla is part curiosity shop: at the back they sell designer lamps, glassware and soft toys, and the eclectic, object-crammed décor is the first thing people talk about on the way out. It's on Carrer de la Ferreria in the old town, run by its owners, who work the room and chat at every table. The kitchen calls itself Belgian and Spanish, which shows in a chalkboard menu that changes but keeps bringing back a few dishes: steak tartare, sautéed artichokes, Belgian-style mussels when they have them, Alsatian flammkuchen, burrata and mushroom cannelloni. Portions are on the small side and the wines aren't cheap; the smart move is to let the house pick the bottle, which is where it tends to get things right. It sits halfway between restaurant and cocktail bar: you have dinner, and the evening carries on with good music and a terrace that fills up on warm nights. Come for a relaxed dinner with character, as a couple or with friends — not if you want tablecloths and big plates.
