Hotel Corazón

Halfway between Sóller and Deià, on the road that runs above the coast, Hotel Corazón is a former agroturismo turned boutique hotel, with a carefully styled boho look — wood, plants, corners made for photos — and a garden terrace surrounded by mountains. The restaurant is open to non-guests too, from breakfast to dinner, and the food is simple and fresh: salads, hummus, a burrata many people remember, burgers and plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes. What you're mainly paying for is the setting and the styling: prices run ahead of what reaches the plate, and even a little dish of olives and peanuts can be pricey. The team is international and works almost entirely in English, which puts off some local diners, and that is exactly why opinions are so split. If you want a quiet breakfast or lunch in a garden with the Tramuntana all around, it fits; if you're after Mallorcan cooking or good value, it doesn't. In summer it hosts outdoor events such as open-air film nights.
