PLUMO
Best specialty coffee and fresh, balanced breakfast bowls in Palma.
View in the app · free, no sign-upOn a corner of Plaça de Quadrado, one of the quietest squares in the old town, Plumo is both a specialty coffee shop and a bike workshop: bikes are rented, repaired and cleaned here, and you have breakfast while it happens. There are bikes everywhere, including a small collection of vintage ones that draws the cyclists who train on the island, but the everyday crowd is from the neighbourhood — people who come back daily — plus those working on laptops: there's a room upstairs with tables, and light pours in through the big windows. Coffee is the main reason to come: flat whites and cappuccinos with properly silky milk, and plant milks for every taste. With it, the almond croissant, the one regulars mention most, banana bread, brownies and simple but well-made toasts such as avocado with sesame or peanut butter with banana. The pastries come from a local bakery, and prices are a little lower than at other specialty cafés in the centre.
