The last village in the south-west, once called La Palomera, with Sa Dragonera and the islet of Es Pantaleu right opposite: tradition says Jaume I's troops landed there in 1229 before Santa Ponça. It has two sandy beaches, Sa Gran and Sa Petita, and the pebbly little Cala es Conills. It lived from fishing and salting; today it's fish restaurants and the boats that cross to Dragonera in about 15 minutes. The walks to La Trapa and the Cala en Basset tower start here.
