Gràcia Sanctuary

The first of Puig de Randa's three sanctuaries on the way up from Randa: a white chapel tucked under a huge overhang of rock, with the cliff face as its roof. In the early 15th century the Franciscan Antoni Caldés from Llucmajor took refuge here with a few companions; the chapel went up at the end of that century, paid for by the town. From the terrace you look over the plain, Llucmajor and the Bay of Palma. Inside, the Valencian tiled floor that historian Font Obrador rated the finest on the island.
