FERVOR Palma
Careful Mallorcan cooking and attentive service in central Palma.
View in the app · free, no sign-upSmall, warmly lit and nearly always full, Fervor is on Carrer dels Hostals, a narrow street in the centre slightly off the usual routes, and belongs to Grupo Cardón. It describes itself as homely Mediterranean cooking with creative touches, but people come for what its own description puts first: rice. The seafood paella is what made its name, generous and full of flavour; there’s also mixed paella, paella ciega (everything already peeled), black rice and, if you’d rather skip the rice, a grilled fish and seafood platter to share that’s good value for what’s on it. Before the rice, freshly baked bread with aioli and patatas bravas with aioli foam; to finish, a dulce de leche flan that gives away the Argentine accent of part of the team. Cocktails are made with care at the bar. What doesn’t match the rice are some starters – the croquetas or the tuna tartare – and some of the fish dishes, pricey for the portion. To play it safe: rice to share and not much else.
