La Molienda Bisbe
Specialty coffee and healthy breakfasts with local ingredients.
View in the app · free, no sign-upLa Molienda started roasting its own coffee in 2013, and this corner of Carrer del Bisbe Campins is the first of its cafés — 'the original', as they call it; the Arxiduc and Pollença branches came later. It's a little removed from the tourist bustle, on a quiet street in the centre, with a corner terrace that is always the first thing to fill. The coffee, roasted in-house and made by baristas, is what wins the most praise, and you can buy the beans to take home. The menu is breakfast and brunch, and the signature is sourdough toast with avocado, tomato, spices, sea-salt flakes and pomegranate, to which many add a poached egg. Then come the avocado sandwich with poached egg, porridge, granola, goat's cheese and pistachio toast and house-made pastries such as the cinnamon roll. There are vegan options, including baking, and gluten-free ones. Two things to know: it's pricey for breakfast — a toast with extras comes close to €15, and the açaí bowl is the most common complaint for its size — and by mid-morning there's a waiting list for tables.
