Ses Puntes Viewpoint
The Archduke's battlemented lookout above Valldemossa, on foot by permit
View in the app · free, no sign-upOne of the lookouts Archduke Ludwig Salvator had built in the mountains above Valldemossa, near the start of the Camí de s'Arxiduc. Inventories call it Mirador de Can Costa; 'ses Puntes' comes from the pointed battlements on its wall, which look like a castle's but never were. You see the northwest coast, the interior and the mountains and, when the air is very clear, all the way to Palma. It's walk-in only: from the end of Carrer de ses Oliveres, up a rocky path beside the Torrent de Son Gual to the controlled gate of Muntanya del Voltor, a little over an hour's climb.
