Restaurante Jardí d'Artà
Florian Schwarz's creative Mediterranean cooking in an Artà patio
View in the app · free, no sign-upJardí d'Artà is a small hotel on Carrer de s'Abeurador, a few steps from the centre of Artà, named after its garden: a courtyard with palms, two pools and corners where dinner is served in summer, open to non-residents too. The host is Laury and the chef is Florian, who, the house says, works with island producers, farmers and fishermen he knows personally and reworks Mediterranean recipes with a playful touch. Three dishes explain his cooking well. The patatas bravas, with confit ratte potatoes, caramelised chipotle, alioli and smoked Vera paprika, are the ones nearly everyone who has eaten here mentions. The “Jardí style” tortilla comes deconstructed, with a 63-degree egg, caramelised onions and potato foam. And the black Venere rice with tempura cauliflower and a mango and tamari sauce is vegan and no token gesture. The rest is more classic: grilled beef rib-eye by weight, slow-cooked Ibérico secreto, sea bass with Sardinian fregola, or linguine with spicy sobrassada. Mallorcan gató (almond cake) with vanilla ice cream ends the meal on an island note. The wine list pairs Mallorcan reds by the glass with big-name Riojas, and in the courtyard they pour Artà vermouth before dinner.
