Mallorca month by month

Mallorca in February

Almond blossom turns the inland white: February is for hikes, bikes and quiet villages.

In February, Palma has an average high of 16 °C and an average low of 8 °C, the sea is around 15 °C and it rains on about 5 days (averages 2016–2025).

February is almond blossom month. Depending on the year, the trees flower from late January to late February, and the fields of Es Pla, the Raiguer and the valleys around Bunyola and Santa Maria turn white and pink. It is the best excuse to tour the inland villages, eat in a celler and buy local produce at the weekly markets.

The island is still in low season, with many coastal places closed and low prices. The cyclists start to arrive to train on the Tramuntana roads, and carnival (Sa Rua in Palma) falls in February or March depending on Easter. Watch the weather: there are spring days and days of rain and wind, so keep an indoor plan B.
